Global Strategist Warns: “There Is Insane #Speculation… Investors Are Fleeing To Safety… A Lot Of Unknowns”

May 17, 2016 by mac slavo

stock-crash

Over the course of the last six weeks major companies around the world have reported significant drops in sales and consumer sentiment. By all accounts, the global economy is coming to a standstill. But somehow financial markets continue to hover near all-time highs. That a day of reckoning is coming is a foregone conclusion. Something is wrong and highly renowned global strategist Marin Katusa explains that the insanity is just beginning:

People have to understand how fast and vicious the money is flowing around. It’s not just the Fed in the U.S., or big hedge funds coming in and out… you have to also consider what I call Dragon Economics… The Chinese effect… Not only does China have a lot of money, but their people have a lot of money and they’re looking to get it out of China.

In one day in April more cotton was traded on the Shanhai markets then the whole year previously… it would be enough to put a pair of pants on every person on the planet… in one day.. there’s not even enough cotton for that… In one day enough soy bean traded for 52 billion servings of soy…

We’re talking about insane speculation that the Chinese money is fueling… In Vancouver crack houses are selling for $2 – $3 million… The Chinese money is desperately fleeing… it moves very quickly…

There are a lot of unknowns here.

In the following interview with Future Money Trends Marin Katusa, who happens to be one of the most successful investors in the world, explains the various dynamics of the global marketplace and how the average investor must position their assets now to avoid the destructive fall out to come – and it will come, because as Marin explains it, some 90% of companies out there are valued much higher than they should be:

(Watch at Youtube)

Katusa notes that while he continues to acquire assets in the resource space, his funds have now unloaded most of their holdings. Explaining the that anyone with a dart board could have doubled their money in the last six months, it’s time to re-balance your personal portfolios and go with companies that have real value, solid management teams and whose business is focused on sectors with the potential to be explosive in the near to mid-term:

You want to stick with the best in the business. Make sure you take your profits on what you would call your slippery speculations or things that have worked out… If a President is not owning a bunch of stock, you might want to get out of that stock.

I have reduced my fund to five core positions… I am going long and strong on positions that I believe will go up four, five, or ten times from here because the variables that make a good company are in place.

And some of those variables include government and central bank intrusion in the financial marketplace, namely negative interest rates, which Katusa explains will have a deflationary impact on most sectors, but could cause massive upswings in other areas as investors shift capital from risky asset classes to safe havens:

Negative interest rates are going to dry up capital… hence, by definition, will be deflationary in most markets… But within that general macro call you will have pockets of insane inflation… or bubbles.

…For example, where I see gold going… gold is a money and preservation hedge… there’s a lot of money on the sidelines scratching their heads trying to figure out what to do… the Baby Boomers, for example, have lots of money… so what are they going to do? They’re going to want to put their money where it will be safe…

Right now gold takes such a small, small piece of that money looking for safety.. if that percentage of global allocation which is 0.15%… if it just went to 0.3% of that Baby Boomers’ money, the price of gold doesn’t double.

It’s exponential. You’re going to see $4000 – $5000 gold… and we’re talking about just 0.3%.

So I think it’s going to be very deflationary but there will be surges in sectors that will be massive bubbles.

And while usually restricted to his premium subscribers, in the above interview Katusa shares two of his fund’s core positions with listeners. As you may have guessed, the first is a gold sector mining company:

I wrote another seven digit check for Brazil Resources just a few months ago… It’s one of the top performing stocks in the resource sector. Why?

Because it’s the real deal… and when you compare it to any one of the other gold companies it’s not only the most undervalued, but it has the most up-side. There’s a reason why [CEO] Amir Adnani and his management team are buying hand over fist at every financing.

But it won’t just be precious metals that benefit from massive capital flows. The energy sector could see large spikes as well, and not just in oil:

Uranium is a victim of the emerging markets and foreign currency… The Fukushima reactors are coming on slower than people expected… then you have the Chinese that are looking and buying now directly from the mines in Africa… The Russians are doing strategic investments.

Then, what are the Americans doing? Rather than positioning themselves for the future, Obama’s strategy was to sell double the amount of uranium of the Department of Energy’s stockpiles into the markets to fund historic clean ups that have nothing to do with the current producers.

You’ve had all of the stars line up for what will make a bull market.

So, what have I done? I have bought another million shares of Uranium Energy Corp. alongside Morgan Stanley and Rick Rule…

The markets will remain tricky going forward, even for mainstream investment houses and hedge funds. But the fact is, that even during times of crisis there are companies and investments that will not only survive, but thrive.

Hard assets like food and precious metals that you can hold in your hand will certainly be well worth owning as volatility across the globe sends everything into a tailspin.

But for those with investment assets like IRA’s, 401(k)’s, and money market funds, there will be opportunity for significant growth even during economic and financial upheaval.

Packing Heat: #Missouri Lawmakers Expand #Gun Rights, OK “Concealed Carry Without Permit”

May 17, 2016 by mac slavo

guns-everywhere

While so much of propaganda about gun control has been inundating the country and clouding the debate about the 2nd Amendment in effort to restrict firearms, the state of Missouri just surprised everyone by actually expanding gun rights!

The heavily Republican legislature just passed a bill in both the Senate and House allowing people to carry concealed without needing a permit, and without requiring training. Moreover, it reinforced the state’s Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground statutes.

via the NY Times:

Missouri lawmakers have passed a sweeping expansion of gun rights in the state, one that would allow people to carry concealed guns without requiring permits and widen their right to stand and fight against perceived threats.

Under the measure, most people would be able to carry concealed guns, even if they have not completed the training currently required to obtain a permit.

The legislation would also expand the state’s “castle doctrine” by allowing invited guests, such as babysitters, to use deadly force against intruders. It would also create a “stand your ground” right, meaning people would not have to retreat from danger in any place they are legally entitled to be present.

Symbolically, Missouri essentially put up a giant “Come and Take It” in defiance of all those who would disarm Americans and usher in a crime-ridden, heavily bureaucratic and debased police state.

Of course, it has gun control advocates steaming, and attempting to argue that the bill will create more violence.

While many Democrats denounced it, Republican supporters of the bill described the measures as reasonable approaches to personal safety.

[…]

“To me, this is modern-day lynching,” said another Democrat, State Representative Kimberly Gardner of St. Louis. “This bill would allow open season for vigilante-style behavior and put all of us at risk.”

As of now, it is unclear if Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon will sign the bill, or veto it and force a legislative fight. But a message has been signaled, loud and clear.

Americans do NOT want to give up their guns, and will do everything they can to protect themselves in self-defense from anyone who would attempt to disarm them.

With so much of the country going eroding into liberal la-la land, this is one state that understands and honors the intent of the founders in framing the Constitution to empower ordinary citizens against criminals, both within and without government.

As the NY Times notes, the trend is swinging back towards free and open gun rights… a possible sign that gun control efforts, despite deep pockets and incessant appeals to emotion involving children and other victims of gun violence, have fallen on deaf ears.

Ten other states already have what supporters describe as “constitutional carry” laws allowing concealed guns without permits, including ones enacted this year in Idaho, Mississippi and West Virginia, according to the National Rifle Association.

No doubt that is why President Obama has resorted to using executive actions to impose gun control, and why Hillary Clinton is talking openly about using the executive pen to restrict rights, rather than even attempt to jam rights-restricting legislation through the Congress at the federal level.

Do you think this is a big win for the 2nd Amendment?

Woman’s #Obituary Says She Died So She Wouldn’t Have to Vote for #Trump or #Clinton

May 17, 2016 by carey wedler

(ANTIMEDIA) A popular question often arises in election years: “If you had to pick a candidate, who would it be?” Some might say, albeit in jest, that forced to choose between Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, and a gun to their head, they’d probably choose the gun.

According to one satirical line in a real obituary, however, one woman actually did choose death.

“Faced with the prospect of voting for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, Mary Anne Noland of Richmond chose, instead, to pass into the eternal love of God on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the age of 68,” reads an obituary for a Virginia woman who recently died of lung cancer.

Of course, the obituary was written to be comical, and as Jim Noland, her surviving husband said, “The line wasn’t meant as a parting shot at either presidential candidate,” local ABC affiliate WTVM reported. “Rather it was a joke and way for Mary Anne’s children to carry on her sense of humor.”

Either way — and regardless of how Mary Anne Norland felt about the current election — the obituary highlights the general sentiments of millions of Americans. According to polls, a majority of Americans dislike both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. A consistent majority of Americans views Clinton unfavorably while 65 percent of Americans have a negative view of Trump.

Independent of who wrote the obituary, the most striking part of it may not be the humor about the presidential race, but how Mary Anne Noland lived her life.

“A faithful child of God, Mary Anne devoted her life to sharing the love she received from Christ with all whose lives she touched as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and nurse,” her obituary reads.

She spent her life working as a wound nurse, “a job [Jim] Noland says many others wouldn’t do, but his wife enjoyed because it let her develop a relationship with her patients.” He called her “feisty, strong and compassionate.”

Her giving, loving nature presents a striking contrast to the current presidential race, which is all but locked between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Whereas the country faces deep divides and extreme animosity — both within the two major parties and between them — Noland’s memory offers a gentle reminder to be kind and selfless in service of others. Her husband says she never stopped being a caretaker, as she helped raise her ten grandchildren.

“Noland says his family is beyond sad at the passing of his wife, but hopes the obituary captures her spirit and celebrates her essence. He says Mary Anne is smiling down from heaven laughing along with them,” WMTV reported.

Surely, the obituary has brought laughs to undoubtedly more people than just her family, as it was quickly picked up by news outlets across the country — demonstrating how much the sentiment against the current system resonates with Americans. More meaningful, however, might be appreciation for her selfless life and efforts to share love — a virtue glaringly lacking from current affairs.

Indeed, in lieu of flowers, Noland’s obituary requested donations be made to CARITAS, a charity that helps care for the homeless and individuals suffering from addiction.

The #FBI Has 80,000 Documents on #Saudi Ties to 9/11 It Tried to Suppress

May 17, 2016 by carey wedler

(ANTIMEDIA) The classified 28-pages of the 9/11 report have made global headlines lately as a handful of lawmakers battle to release them to the public. Those pages are believed by activists and members of Congress — who have seen them — to expose the role of Saudi Arabia, including government officials, in the terrorist attacks.

But according to a new report based on years of investigative journalism, it turns out there are far more than 28 classified pages on Saudi Arabia and 9/11 — there are 80,000 kept secret by the FBI. And though not all 80,000 are expected to concern the Saudi family — and the FBI insists their investigation of the documents came up empty-handed — journalists, at least one lawmaker, and heavily-redacted documents suggest otherwise.

As the Daily Beast reported, the discovery of the 80,000 pages came when Irish investigative journalists Anthony Summers and Robbyn Swan were contacted by an unnamed counterterrorism official in 2011. The reporters were preparing to publish a book on the 10th anniversary of the terror attacks and were told  by the source that a Saudi family who had been living in Sarasota, Florida, prior to the attacks had connections to the attackers. Specifically, they were linked to Mohamed Atta, the Egyptian terrorist widely recognized as the ringleader of the attacks.

The unnamed official’s tip conflicted squarely with the FBI’s prior conclusions on that family. Abdulazzi al-Hiijjii, his wife Anoud, and their three small children lived in an upscale Sarasota community, along with Anoud’s father, Esam Ghazzawi, a financier and interior designer, who owned the home, and Ghazzawai’s American-born wife. The FBI had received multiple calls from the family’s neighbors expressing concerns over erratic behavior. Two weeks before 9/11, they left the house in a huge hurry, leaving dirty diapers and toys strewn about, a fully stocked refrigerator, and three cars in the driveway.

Though the FBI opened an investigation in April 2002, it still insists it never found any significant connection between the family and Atta. The agency acknowledged they had suspected a connection, but “not until after the Tampa field office opened an investigation that claimed to find ‘numerous connections’ between the family and the 9/11 hijackers,” the Daily Beast explained. The 80,000 classified pages in question stemmed from that investigation.

The FBI says “the bureau’s own agents did initially suspect the family was linked to some of the hijackers.” But “on further scrutiny, those connections proved unfounded, officials now say.”

But Summers and Swan contacted Dan Christensen, a veteran Florida reporter, and together they published an exposé on these connections in Sarasota in September 2011. As they reported, following the 9/11 attacks:

“[L]aw enforcement agents not only discovered the home was visited by vehicles used by the hijackers, but phone calls were linked between the home and those who carried out the death flights — including leader Mohamed Atta — in discoveries never before revealed to the public.”

They were also never revealed to lawmakers. The 2011 story caught the attention of Bob Graham, a Florida Democrat who has since led the campaign to release the 28 pages on the Saudi connection, which are said to contain information showing Saudi government officials were involved in orchestrating the attack.

At the time, he said the journalists had “open[ed] the door to a new chapter of investigation as to the depth of the Saudi role in 9/11.” Graham attempted to view some of the documents, and told the Daily Beast (for a forthcoming article) they did show a connection between the family and three hijackers. He was soon after confronted by then-deputy director of the FBI, Sean Joyce. According to Graham, he said, “Basically everything about 9/11 was known and I was wasting my time and I should get a life.”

Christensen filed a Freedom of Information Act request in the hopes of either confirming or refuting their original reporting. Thomas Julin, his lawyer, said the FBI initially denied having any records. When Graham said he was willing to testify he had seen some, the Department of Justice conveniently admitted to having 35 relevant pages. They released them, but they were heavily redacted. In spite of the overt censorship guarding that information, they reportedly still made clear the FBI had suspicions about the family — and that they had found several connections between them and the hijackers. The pages also include the FBI’s dismissals of those suspicions.

U.S. District Court Judge William Zloch, who presided over the Freedom of Information case, was unconvinced and demanded the FBI conduct another search of its records. This time,“the FBI found some additional responsive documents which it produced,” Juline told the Daily Beast. “But it also found 80,266 pages of material in the Tampa Field Office of the FBI which had been marked with the file number for the FBI’s PENTTBOM investigation.”

PENTTBOM was the FBI term for its investigation into the 9/11 attacks. Though the New York Post had previously reported on these 80,000 pages, the DoJ’s small release of documents clarified suspicions. Zloch ordered the FBI to hand over all the documents in May 2014 — and he is still going through them to determine which pages can be released. He has given no indication of when he will be finished.

The Daily Beast explained “Zloch’s task is made all the more painstaking by the strict security rules governing review of classified documents, even for a sitting judge. The files are kept in a secure facility, and he can only remove a portion at a time.”

It remains unclear how many of the 80,000 pages pertain directly to the Tampa FBI field office’s investigation of the family in Sarasota — and their ties to the attackers. Though Christensen says he’s ready to be proven wrong, he believes “those files will reveal the underlying reasons for the FBI’s early suspicions.”

As the Daily Beast laid out:

“The FBI, for instance, says that phone records searches showed no links to the house and the hijackers. Christensen’s confidential source says the opposite is true. If the FBI is right, Christensen asks, then why not just release the information and put the dispute to rest?”

The FBI has attempted to discredit the pages, claiming the agent who filed the first reports on the family and their potential connection to the hijackers was “not a good writer and should not be taken as the last word,” according to Graham. However, that agent was promoted shortly after 9/11, casting doubt on assertions they were incompetent.

In a similar evasion of accountability, President Obama vowed to block a legislative effort to release the 28 pages amid pressure from the Saudi Arabian government, which threatened to remove $750 billion in American assets should the legislation pass. The president cited concerns that allowing families of 9/11 victims to sue a foreign government could, in turn, open the United States government up to prosecution, itself. The White House has since indicated it intends to release part of the 28 pages.

Though Julin says the 28 pages likely aren’t linked to the Sarasota Saudi family, he hopes their eventual release “might help Judge Zloch see the wider significance of the events in Sarasota and persuade him that some or all of the records have not been properly classified.”

Last week, a former member of the 9/11 commission said he believes six Saudi officials supported the 9/11 hijackers. John F. Lehman said Wednesday, “There was an awful lot of participation by Saudi individuals in supporting the hijackers, and some of those people worked in the Saudi government,” he said. “Our report should never have been read as an exoneration of Saudi Arabia.”

The FBI’s trove of documents also requires further examination. Julin dismissed suspicions Judge Zloch is intentionally lagging in his investigation of the 80,000 pages. “I believe this is not a stalling tactic at all,” he said. “The judge is doing what he has to comply” with the stringent rules surrounding the release of the classified documents. “But I would urge him to speed it up,” he said.

Out Of This World: Introducing The $4.5 Million #Meteorite #Handgun: “Heat-Treated by God”

May 17, 2016 by mac slavo

cabot1911(The Cabot Guns 1911 Big Bang Pistols come in a set of two. Photo Credit Robb Report)

We’ve featured some pretty awesome weapons at our web site, but perhaps none as unique as the Cabot Guns Big Bang Pistol.

Unlike other handguns you may have seen, the .45 caliber Cabot 1911’s took over 4 billion years to come to fruition and find their origins in the moment the universe was created. According to Robb Report the pair are “the first mechanical devices made from a meteorite in the history of mankind.”

The gun maker used Gibeon meteorite, a premium metal because it is non-rusting says Cabot metallurgist Jay Morely.

The firearms come in a set of two (left and right handed) and within minutes of the announcement an interested buyer offered up $1 million for the pair without having ever laid eyes on them.

The eventual purchase price after a bidding war ensued?

$4.5 million.

Cabot metallurgist Jay Morely tells Robb Report. “But it was heat-treated by God—born in enormous heat, frozen solid in space, heated again as it blasted into Earth’s atmosphere, and then cooled again. It’s relatively soft and full of inclusions, bits of debris that hit the meteor at thousands of miles an hour millions of years ago.”

…

“Not to coin a phrase,” says Rob Bianchin, founder and president of the Pennsylvania gun maker, “but we were sweating bullets. That first cut, when we sliced the meteorite chunk in two, was really scary.”

The only parts of the Big Bang pistol set that aren’t made of meteorite are the springs, sears, barrels, hammer strut, pins, screws, and slide rails. Everything else—slides, frames, triggers, magazine release, and grips—is pure Gibeon. Speaking of frightening, the guns’ first test firing was a bit daunting.

…

The Big Bang pistols are a never-to-be-repeated landmark achievement. In addition to their cosmic history, these firearms trace their roots to prehistoric times here on Earth: Ancient Africans used the Gibeon meteorite to create some of humanity’s first weapons.

The guns are forged from a 35 kilogram Gibeon meteorite found in the sub-Saharan part of Africa known as Nambia in 1838.

Connected? With #Brexit Vote Upcoming, Britain Sees Faux-Bomb Scare

May 17, 2016 by mac slavo

dirty-bomb-exercise-th

Is there than meets the eye to this big scare?

It is seems all-too timely that the fake ‘dummy’ bomb discovered shortly before a soccer match in Manchester took place in the lead up to a very controversial referendum which could result in Britain leaving the European Union.

As the BBC notes:

An “urgent” inquiry has been demanded after a dummy bomb used in a security exercise caused a Premier League match at Old Trafford to be postponed.

The game between Manchester United and Bournemouth was called off after the item was discovered close to kick-off… after the replica device was found in a toilet.

[…] Security Search Management & Solutions Ltd (SSMS) was the firm hired by Deacons Canines to test its sniffer dogs using fake bombs, the BBC understands.

What do you think?

Was this really just a bad mistake by a private firm doing counter-terrorism training?

Or was it something more like a hidden message to those that are publicly advocating for Brexit?

While countless celebrities and officials are trying to shame Britons out of supporting the Brexit, it seems at least possible that a false flag bombing could be in the works to dissuade this possibility, and instead give reason for renewed unity across Europe in fighting terrorism (and keeping the EU gang together).

The Brexit referendum will take place June 23.

Reaching? Or just carefully watching… you decide.
